I will not celebrate the assassination of anyone good or bad. Violence only begets more violence. Killing someone does not bring peace only pain and the calling for retaliation.

The only difference between democracy and a dictatorship is our illusion of control.

Why is it that being a gentleman or even just a nice person is lost on the youth of today? I hate how everyday i see people going through life not giving a damn about anything or anyone around them. What is so hard about opening a door for people or picking something up that has been dropped by someone that has their arms full? Why is it that it has become a common thing for the man in a relationship to allow the bill to be split instead of just paying for everything? Why is it that couples get pregnant and the man just runs away without a care in the world? I ask myself these questions everyday and wonder if I’m just weird or if our society is just spiraling out of control. Is it our fault or the fault of our parents? In the end we need to take a step back and look at what we are becoming as a generation. We need to realize that the world is bigger than ourselves, and that our world can change for the better unless we change ourselves for the better.

Fresh ink. I’ve wanted this since I was 16 and finally got it on my 18th birthday. No particular story to it, just feel in love with the drawing. Done at Demagogue Boutique in Clear Lake, Texas by Andres.

I want you to be amazed by me, and to confess to yourself that you had never even dreamed of such transports…. When you are old, I want you to recall those few hours, I want your dry bones to quiver with joy when you think of them. ~Gustave Flaubert, letter to wife Louise Colet, 15 August 1846

But I have seen thee
And thou art enough.
